Pipeline impact monitoring workshop

Event-Date:
Saturday, March 23, 2019 - 9:00am to 3:30pm

A first-of-its-kind workshop focused on the risks of pipeline construction, how to assess and report violations, and how to protect your water resources if you live near pipeline drilling activity.

Attendance is free, and lunch will be provided. Please register at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd0L2iOFukFz2R4O0YpJ-e5w7d5aLv7cykc9Bsim5yRd3Akng/viewform.

We will be focusing on the Falcon pipeline (which just went into construction and will feed the Beaver Cracker plant) and using what MWA has learned in our battle against Mariner East 2 in the state. During construction for Mariner East 2, we saw dozens of drilling fluid spills and additional discharges of mine drainage as a result of the construction. We are hoping to better equip residents nearby pipeline construction so they can monitor the sites and report violations to better protect our waterways.

Sponsored by Mountain Watershed Association and by the Breathe Project.
