DRBC meeting

February 15, 2017 - 12:00pm
Delaware Riverkeeper Network
Washington Crossing State Park Visitor Center
1112 River Road
Washington Crossing, PA
United States

Since 2010 the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) has prohibited permitting for natural gas extraction projects in the Delaware River Basin while they study its potential impacts on water resources, a de-facto moratorium that does not allow permits to be issued until natural gas regulations are adopted.
Signals from the DRBC staff have raised alarm bells that the DRBC may be taking steps to adopt regulations and lift the current moratorium.

Since 2010, the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence and on-the-ground experience where fracking has wreaked havoc prove that fracking simply isn’t safe.

Please join our many groups at the DRBC Feb. 15 meeting to make the statement that NOW IS THE TIME to enact a permanent ban on all gas development, including drilling and fracking, in the Delaware River Watershed.

What: Strong and peaceful presence at the DRBC Public Meeting Wednesday, February 15.

Where: Washington Crossing State Park Visitor Center, 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing, Pa.

When: Gather at 12:00 noon in large parking lot across from Visitor Center, meeting starts at 1:30 pm
