Who's That Drilling in My Neighborhood?! - A Guide to Public Information (Part 1)
Apr 12 2011
How can you use public information to find out what's going on around you?
Over the next two weeks, we'll be publishing a Guide to information sources, to cover the 'life-cycle' of Marcellus Shale gas wells:
- Signing a Lease
- Obtaining a Permit
- Drilling and Completion (i.e., 'Fracking')
- Production
- Inspection and Violation Reporting
The Guide will be posted in a number of Parts, of which this Part 1 is only the Preface.
The Marcellus Shale situation is constantly changing, for both 'technical' and 'political' reasons. And, the information resources that we use are being affected by budgetary and philosophical challenges at the local, state, and national levels.
So, your feedback will be vital. Please let us know whether you find this Guide to be:
- Valuable ?
- Accurate ?
- Easy to Follow?
and we'll try to keep improving it.
